WITH THESE ATYPICAL RECOMMENDATIONS, YOU WILL DISCOVER THE MANY FACES OF THE CITY OF POSSIBILITIES
Gyzlene Kramer (38), Programme Manager at educational institution Albeda and board member of, among others, the Maritime Museum.
Lives: In the Oude Noorden with her husband and two daughters.
Means of transport: Running in search of new hotspots. ‘Then I think; I have to remember that, I’d like to try it sometime.’
Proud: When I walk through the city and see that a former student has started something. ‘The practical contribution to the city, through education… Seeing their results makes me very proud!’
Het Oude Noorden – I like this district because it’s one of the few that still has a lot of the old, but also a lot of investment and renovation going on, such as in and around the Zwaanshals. I take my visitors to the Pijnackerplein; a super cool square where children can play in the bandstand, between the unique houses of Noord. My daughter always puts on a show for us there, so much fun! For a cultural trip, you should walk through the Zwart Janstraat, where many nationalities eat, walk and shop side by side. Lovely!
