The Maritime Museum; I have a connection to it, but it’s also just a very nice children’s museum. For my two daughters, Professor Plons is the place to discover, play and try things out while I enjoy a coffee at their coffee bar; ideal for young parents. I also love the Wereldmuseum, so much that I almost got married there! Apart from the beautiful old building, the story that this museum conveys is beautiful – namely that colourfulness and diversity are the strength of Rotterdam. For my children, who grew up with Easter, Ramadan, Eid and Christmas, this is a good place to visit and start a conversation. ‘Look how many differences we have and how much you can learn from other people.’ To me this is wealth!
