Where can I eat the world a little greener?

At The Harvest in Noord, they work with local and seasonal products. A five-minute walk from there is Mecca, where you can eat the most delicious ‘Pita Sabich’: a middle-eastern roll with eggplant and chips added for a bit of crunch. De Eekhoorn in the Kralingse forest next to the deer park may seem like an ordinary snack bar, but they have been around for 60 years and serve white asparagus croquettes and vegan soft-serve ice cream and sell eggs from their own chickens.

If you’re going to the beach at Hoek Van Holland, try Pele Surf Shack. Completely vegan, which they don’t advertise because they take it for granted.

Where can I sleep with peace of mind, and how do I get there?
